"From the Land of Everlasting Snow"
The Tivoli building on the Auraria campus in downtown Denver, Colorado operated as a brewery from 1866 through 1969. German-born pioneers founded the original site, and through a series of owners and expansions it grew in size and legend. In 1900, owner John Good renamed it after the famous Tivoli gardens in Denmark, noting that spelled backward Tivoli read, "I lov it." In its heyday in the 1950's, the Tivoli-Union Brewery turned out over 150,000 barrels a day and distributed its beer all over the West. Today the site — consisting of 16 connected buildings — serves as the student union for the three-college campus, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Its massive copper kettles and towering smokestack serve as reminders of its storied past. *A percentage of sales from this shirt is donated to the Tivoli Restoration Fund. I love this shirt. Although I know many people don't know what it means I also get a lot of compliments from people in the know.
I can't wait to wear this to the GABF!

Reserved for special occassions since it
looks better any T-shirt in my closet. I like it because it fits well and the material is soft and "breathes" -- it does not cling to my skin like other shirts and is extremely comfortable, even on the hottest of days in central Pennsylvania.
